The Arts Society Englemere  is a member of The Arts Society (formerly NADFAS) the leading arts charity established for furthering knowledge and appreciation of the arts.

  • Based in ASCOT, Berkshire with a thriving and lively membership of 200+.
  • Monthly lecture meetings held on the second Tuesday evening of each month (except August and December).
  • Regular visits to stately homes, museums, exhibitions. In addition an annual guided tour in the UK or abroad.
  • The Lecturers are approved by The Arts Society and are of high quality and are experts in their own field.

The Role of The Arts in the Cycle of Crime, Prison and Reoffending

Lecture commences at approximately 7:45 p.m.

Angela Findlay has worked for many years as an artist in the Criminal Justice System in England and in Germany.  Angela, who has a degree in Fine Art and a Diploma in Artistic Therapy, will tell us how the process of art creation provides opportunities for young offenders to develop important life skills.
