The Bloomsbury Group : The Art of Vanessa Bell

Tuesday, 14th January 2020

at St George's School, Ascot.

Reception from 7:00 pm.

The lecture commences at 7:45 pm

Vanessa Bell was reportedly the ‘warm heart’ of the Bloomsbury Group, a group once described by Dorothy Parker as “living in squares and loving in triangles”.  Our lecturer, Julia Musgrave, asks if Vanessa Bell the painter was as radical as her sister Virginia Woolf the writer.  Julia is a graduate of Glasgow University with a diploma from the Courtauld Instutite of Art.  She is currently working towards her PhD at the University of York.
