The Roaring 20s : Art, Design and High Society

Tuesday, 12th November 2019

at St George's School, Ascot.

Reception from 7:00 pm.

The lecture commences at 7:45 pm

In complete contrast to the horrors of the Great War, the Roaring Twenties was a period of huge technical and economic change.  A loud and boisterous decade but also one of great vitality in art and design.  Our lecturer, Jo Banham, will tell us of the energy and originality of this decade with examples of its art and design.  Jo is a freelance curator, lecturer and writer and has published on many aspects of Victorian and early 20th century decoration and interiors.
