Reception from 7:00 pm.

Lecture commences at approximately 7:45pm

In this ideal climate for garden-making some spectacular gardens have been created over the course of the last five hundred years or so, but wealthy individuals have made their homes in the Italian Lakes since Roman times.  Steven Desmond will tell us about some of these gardens, their style, history and the owners who created them.  Steven is an established independent landscape consultant specialising in historic gardens and their conservation.
